Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction: These Terms and Conditions govern the participation in haunted tours and workshops organized by Scare Events Pvt. Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking and participating in any tour or workshop, participants ("you" or "participants") agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Participants aged 16-17 may join with written consent from a parent or legal guardian, who must accompany them on the tour or workshop.
3. Booking and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 60% is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance must be paid in full 1 day prior to the start of the event.
Payment methods accepted: Credit card, Debit Card, UPI, etc.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made 15 days before the scheduled tour date are eligible for a partial refund, minus the deposit.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the tour date are non-refundable.
If we, Scare Events Pvt. Ltd., cancel or reschedule a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule.
5. Changes to Itinerary: We reserve the right to alter the itinerary, dates, or specific workshop details due to safety concerns, weather conditions, or other operational factors. Any significant changes will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.
6. Assumption of Risk: By participating, you acknowledge that visiting haunted locations and engaging in paranormal workshops may involve emotional distress, or other risks, including but not limited to potentially dangerous environments. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activities.
7. Safety and Behaviour
All participants must comply with safety instructions provided by our staff and guides.
Alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited during tours and workshops.
We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone under the influence of intoxicants or anyone whose behavior poses a risk to others.
8. Liability Waiver: By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless Scare Events Pvt. Ltd., its employees, agents, and contractors from any liability, including personal injury, property damage, or emotional distress, arising from participation in the tour or workshop, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
9. Insurance: Participants are responsible for obtaining their own medical and travel insurance. Scare Events Pvt. Ltd. will not be held liable for any medical expenses, losses, or damages incurred during or as a result of participation in the tour or workshop.
10. Photography and Media Use: We may take photographs or record videos during the event for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed, and you agree to the use of your image and likeness in promotional material, without compensation.
11. Intellectual Property: All content presented in workshops, including techniques, knowledge, and tools, is the intellectual property of Scare Events Pvt. Ltd. You may not reproduce, share, or distribute any part of the workshop content without our prior written consent.
12. Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward others and toward the locations we visit. Disruptive or harmful behavior will result in immediate removal from the tour or workshop without a refund.
13. No Pets:
To ensure the safety, comfort, and overall experience of all participants, Ghost Encounters Tours maintains a strict no pets policy.
Many of our investigation locations are sensitive, confined, or historically preserved spaces that may not be suitable for animals. Additionally, the nature of our tours often involves low-light environments, unexpected sounds, and prolonged silence, which can be distressing for pets and disruptive to the group.
For these reasons:
- Pets of any kind are not permitted on any Ghost Encounters Tours.
- This includes small pets, animals carried in bags, or those kept on leashes.
14. Reservation Rights Policy
Ghost Encounters Tours is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and well-managed experience for all participants.
Please note that the founders, Pooja Vijay and Sarbajeet Mohanty, reserve the full right to cancel or refuse any reservation at their discretion, without prior notice.
This may be exercised under circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Safety concerns for participants or team members
- Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior
- Violation of tour guidelines or policies
- Logistical or operational constraints
- Any situation deemed unfit for the integrity of the experience
While such decisions are not taken lightly, the priority remains to preserve the quality, safety, and authenticity of every Ghost Encounters Tour.
15. Force MajeureScare Events Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for any cancellations, delays, or changes due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or political unrest. In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule or provide a refund where possible.
16. Governing Law and JurisdictionThese terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
